Love and Sex in Polynesia

OUT spirituality group, St. James' church, Piccadilly London,

7:30pm, Tuesday September 2nd.

Aloha 'love' is the most famous word to come to us from the hot islands of the South Seas. They were also islands of wonderful and consensual sex - in all forms. No word was necessary for permissiveness, as long as love was
involved sex was a gateway to the spirit.

The islands of Polynesia have long been famous for their sexuality. Sailors looked forward to their visit there in centuries past, and sometimes enjoyed themselves so much they even jumped ship - for instance in Tahiti just before the famous Mutiny of Captain Bligh. Heterosexuality, homosexuality - everything goes as long as it is
consensual and with love. Sexual techniques were taught, including homosexual ones and they concerned ways in which to receive greater pleasure. Love and sex were inseparable, and the definition of aloha 'love' is a broad one and will be explored in detail. Emotion and sex are inseparable and indeed every emotion is compared to a colour in Polynesia. By opening the colours of light you create your own rainbow - the rainbow of the spirit. That rainbow is also a sign of the 'cosmic orgasm' where light is in your body and your body is in light. Everyone can reach it through sex-with-love, and it makes no difference what gender your partner is, or identifies himself or herself as, as long as there is love expressed.

The talk will include a mediation to bring more light into your body.

Please note due to the nature of the group, this isn't an open talk. But please do come along if you think you are, or may be, gay, transgender, or bisexual.
